Before the Holocaust approximately nine million Jews resided in Europe. During the horrific events that occurred in the late 1930s and continued into the 40s, six million of them were killed. Some people decided to look at it as a reason to stop fighting and they picked up their belongings and left. Others however, looked on the bright side. They said if the Jewish people had survived arguably the most horrific and mortifying event in human history, they could survive anything. Anne Frank and Joesph Sher were just some of many survivors who got through the Holocaust.
